Bury Him Darkly

Bury Him Darkly PDF ebook download First written in 1969, Bury Him Darkly is at first an "oh no! Don't open the vault where the crazy man swears he's coming back to life" story, but if you keep reading it, it turns into more of a piece of science fiction. Actually, I was quite happy that it turned out that way, because it made the story a lot more interesting.

Set in England in the 1960s, the story revolves around the proposed opening of the vault of the Railstones. There is a group devoted to the study of Sir Martin Railstone, who was either very evil or was a genius. That group wants the vault open, because there is reportedly a chest filled with the man's works which some feel would be important to the world of the arts, literature & science. But on the other hand, those who believe that Railstone was evil (the church, others), do NOT want this vault opened under any circumstances. So from there the story begins and ends most unusually. I won't say any more, but it reminded me of those British sci-fi films of the 1960s (b&w), and I really had fun with it. Not a piece of literature by any stretch of the imagination, but this is one to curl up with and just escape the every day.

Recommended for people who like mild SF, ghost stories and something different once in a while.
